Two Tony Castro designs win POLBOAT Awards 2026

Two designs carrying the work of Tony Castro Yachts were honoured at the Gdynia POLBOAT Awards 2026, announced at the POLBOAT Night gala on the opening evening of the festival at Marina Yacht Park.

GALEON 430 EXPLORER — BEST YACHT OVER 12 METRES

The Galeon 430 Explorer took the category for yachts over 12 metres. It opens an entirely new Explorer Class for the yard — a compact, owner-operated cruiser built around a genuine explorer brief rather than marina styling. A forward-set superstructure and near-vertical bow give it exceptional beam and interior volume for a 14-metre hull, while the large, adaptable aft cockpit, fold-out side balconies and full-width swim platform turn the deck into usable living space that belies the length. Below, a two-cabin, owner-focused layout prioritises comfort on longer passages, and twin Volvo Penta D6-480 diesels balance brisk cruising with the range an explorer owner expects.

eLY 30+ — SPECIAL BOATS

The eLY 30+ took the special boats category. It is the fully electric evolution of our LY 30+ luxury inland waterways weekender — a compact 9.6-metre design engineered for the comfort, three-cabin accommodation and interior volume of a far larger yacht. Its 70–300 hp electric drivetrain delivers silent, zero-emission cruising suited to inland lakes and protected coastal waters alike, with capacity for up to ten aboard. The same Tony Castro Yachts hull underpins both the LY 30+ and its electric sibling, so the award recognises a design already proven on the water and at an extremely attractive price.

ONE STUDIO, BOTH ENDS OF THE WATER

From a compact electric pleasure boat to a larger family explorer motor yacht, two designs shaped by our studio were recognised in the same room on the same night — a reflection of the range Tony Castro Yachts brings to every brief. Congratulations to the teams at Galeon Yachts and Lamdo Yachts.
