Galeon 520 FLY nominated for European Powerboat of the Year 2027
Our exterior design for the Galeon 520 FLY has been shortlisted for the European Powerboat of the Year 2027, decided by a jury drawn from the editors and test teams of Europe’s leading motorboat magazines. The winners are announced at boot Düsseldorf in January.
The 520 FLY replaces the 500 FLY, a model that sold well over a long production run and set a high reference point. The profile carries the long glazing panels and proportions that run through the wider Galeon range, balancing the volume of a 55-foot flybridge yacht against her length so that the deck spaces and headroom below could be delivered without the boat reading as heavy in the water. The folding side balconies remain the most immediately visible feature, taking the maximum beam from 4.66 m to 6.66 m when opened and extending the usable deck area out over the water.
At 17.20 m, the 520 FLY sits at the core of Galeon’s next-generation Flybridge line, with the flybridge treated as the primary gathering space and three cabins below deck for six guests. She made her world debut at the Palm Beach International Boat Show earlier this year.
Congratulations to everyone at Galeon on the nomination!
