Clipper Round the World

The Clipper Race is one of the biggest challenges of the natural world and an endurance test like no other. Its a real adventure for those participating . With some crew with no previous sailing experience, it’s a record breaking 40,000 nautical mile race around the world on a 70-foot ocean racing yacht.

When Sir Robin Knox-Johnston approached us to design a yacht for this purpose – we thought he was ambitious in his goals! Several editions later we can see his vision was ahead of his time and the boats have provided a platform for some of the most exciting and challenging racing ever seen – with crews from diverse backgrounds and experience competing on level terms and facing the Oceans many for the first time.

This is the only truly challenging Round-the-Word race these days, not a speed test by some seasoned professional sailors.
